2nd Annual Bass Fishing Tournament: Saturday, June 20th
Location: Llano County Park on West Lake Buchanan off CR 261
Honor System Cast-off at 7 AM on Lake Buchanan or Inks Lake
Official Competition Hours: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Same day registration and check-ins are welcome. Be sure to bring your fishing licenses!!
Weigh-ins all day. Fish must be alive and released back to Lake Buchanan right after weigh-in.
Final Weigh-In and Prizes Awarded at Llano County Park: 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Registration for a boat with up to 2 people per boat is $150, which includes a chance to compete for cash prizes. For those looking for an extra challenge, don't miss the $20 Big Bass competition. 50% payout goes to the winner, as well as bragging rights for the biggest catch of the day! Add breakfast and/or lunch options, or bring your own cooler!

1st Place: $1000
2nd Place: $500
3rd Place: $250
BIG BASS: 50% of the pot for the single biggest bass winner!

Please remember, this is a CATCH and RELEASE Tournament!
Registration and Check-in
- You can register here online or via paper form with cash and check. Contact Rob Abshier at 512-470-1138 with registration questions or to register in-person.
- You can register up to and on the day of the Tournament on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
- If you have already registered, check in any time Friday, June 19th, from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Visitor Center located at 19611 Texas Highway 29 in Buchanan Dam.
- Day-off Check-in is on Saturday, June 20th, starting at 6 AM at Llano County Park.
- Don't forget your valid ID and fishing license for Check-In!
Tournament Rules and Weigh-Ins
- Honor system starts at 7 AM, anywhere on Lake Buchanan or Inks Lake.
- All fish must be caught on rod and reel, using artificial lures, and hooked in the mouth only.
- All fish must be caught between 7 AM and 1:30 PM on Lake Buchanan or Inks Lake only on Saturday, June 20th
- The minimum length of each fish is 14 inches.
- All fish must be alive at weigh-in.
- Weigh-ins are continuous and all day until 2 PM. Weigh-ins are at Llano County Park only (Lake Buchanan).
- Fish must be released right after weigh-in. We will record the best of your three catches of the day.
- You MUST return the fish to the lake from which you caught it. You cannot return a fish caught in Inks Lake to Lake Buchanan and vice versa.
- It is unlawful to leave edible game fish or bait taken from public waters to die.
- We expect all fishermen/anglers to follow Texas Parks and Wildlife fishing regulations.
