The Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber National Rubber Ducky Day Float
Rules and Regulations
1) The Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake National Rubber Ducky Day Float is produced by the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber of Commerce, classified as a 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code.
2) A minimum of 500 ducks will be entered in the float. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries.
3) All ducks entered are and shall remain property of the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber of Commerce.
4) Once the ducks are launched into the cove, they are on their own. No attempt to free or interfere with any duck is permitted, unless they are drifting out of the cove or as deemed necessary by the float committee to preserve the ecology and health of Lake Buchanan and the cove.
5) The Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake National Rubber Ducky Day Float will start at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 17th. The float course will be established by the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber Lakes Conservation and Preservation Committee. The Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake National Rubber Ducky Day Float reserves the right to postpone or reschedule the race or to determine the winners by random drawing in the event of inclement weather, Acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber of Commerce's control.
6) A number will be attached/marked on the bottom of each duck called the tag number. The individuals/businesses associated with the tag numbers on the ducks collected will be awarded prizes. Positive identification will be required to claim any prize(s). Participants must be present to select their duck(s) and claim their prize(s).
7) A copy of the Rules and Regulations can be obtained from the Chamber by sending a written request with self-addressed stamped envelope to: Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center PO Box 282 Buchanan Dam, Texas 78609.

8) Ducks may be "adopted" at the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber and Visitor Center via cash, check or charge and online until January 17th at 12 noon. Adoption of the ducks is not receipt of a physical product but the purchase of the number of "tries" an individual has at the float. For example, the purchase of a single duck allows a participant one duck pull from the float, four equals four duck pulls from the float, etc.
8) All duck adoptees/float participants must check in with a valid ID where they will receive a marked wristband that corresponds to the number of ducks "adopted". Unless you are wearing a marked wristband, you may not select a duck(s) and are not eligible for any prize(s).
9) You may only select the number of ducks allocated by your wristband. If you select more ducks than adopted/allocated by wristband, you will be disqualified.
10) Once you have selected your ducks, return to the registration/prize table and turn in your duck(s). Prizes are allocated based on the random number assigned to the duck.
11) No cash equivalent prizes or exchanges will be provided in lieu of the designated prizes by the prize sponsors and/or sponsoring business. Any taxes and fees are the responsibility of the winner. By entering, the entrants release the Chamber, its officers, directors, volunteers, staff, sponsors and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to the prizes. By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without any additional compensation.
12) A minimum donation of $5.00 per duck is requested.
13) The winner of any prize must be over 18 years of age and must pay any applicable sales tax or other fees associated with the prize. If the prize winner is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian may claim the prize on their behalf. Winners must be present to win.
14) All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber of Commerce Lakes Conservation and Preservation Committee, and its judgment is final.
15) In case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances preventing the running of the float, the float will be postponed and a new float date announced. In case of ongoing inclement weather, ducks will be selected randomly, and winners will be notified by telephone.
16) This event is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
17) The Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber National Rubber Ducky Day Float and the Chamber logo and all social media, website and marketing materials are registered trademarks of the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, and no other person or entity is authorized to copy or otherwise use them without the Chamber's express written consent.
