Bald Eagles

Picture
Birdwatching enthusiasts can enjoy a diverse array of species in
our area, including Eagles, Ospreys, Herons, Pelicans, and Painted Buntings, among many others.

One of the highlights of the region is a mating pair of Bald Eagles
that consistently return to their nest located behind the observation deck. These magnificent birds are expected to arrive around
October or November and will remain through early to mid-April.
This location serves as their nesting site, providing a unique opportunity to observe their young as they grow and learn to fly.

For those interested in witnessing this incredible natural event,
the observation deck behind the Buchanan Dam/Inks Lake
Chamber of Commerce is the perfect spot to view one of the
two known nesting pairs in the area.
