                             All directions From the Lake Buchanan/Inks Lake Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center
                                                                19611 E Hwy 29   Buchanan Dam, TX  78609

Park Road 4-  East on Hwy 29, 2.5 miles, turn right on Park Road 4 (P4) through Inks Lake State Park.  At split, left on P4 passes Falkenstein Castle and Longhorn Caverns and ends at Hwy 281, right at split on 2342 goes to Kingsland.
FM 690 to Canyon of the Eagles-   East on Hwy 29 just across the Inks Lake Bridge, left on FM 690, 8 miles until ends, left on RR 2341 all the way to end of road.
Hwy 29 to Llano-      West on Hwy 29, 20 miles.
Hwy 261 to Llano-    West on Hwy 29, right on Hwy 261, which turns in to RR 2241 at the Bluffton Store, 16 miles until ends at Hwy 29, right on HWY 29 in to Llano.
Slab Road to Hwy 71-     West on Hwy 29, 2+ miles to traffic light (Fuzzy’s Corner.)  Left on RR 1431, 5 miles, right on RR 3404, cross Llano River at slab (Low water crossing) and continue until connects at Hwy 71.
Lookout Mountain-     West on Hwy 29, 2+ miles to new traffic light (Fuzzy’s Corner.)  Left on RR 1431 all the way through Kingsland.  On top of hill on RR 1431 is a pull-out with a great view!
Willow City Loop-     West on Hwy 29 to Llano, 20 miles.  Left at light on Hwy 16 through town towards Fredericksburg about 26 miles.  Left on RR 1323, following signs for Willow City Loop, stay on loop back to Hwy 16.

Cruises offer excellent opportunities for viewing regional and migrating birds including the wintering Bald Eagles, native Texas Wildlife, cascading waterfalls and towering cliffs.

Plan Your Lake Buchanan Kayak Adventure Today!

The Vanishing Texas Kayak Livery is located at Beaver Creek, one of the most protected coves on Lake Buchanan. There are many options for kayakers from this unique location, including visiting Garrett Island and exploring Beaver Creek.

Viewings of birds such as Osprey, Blue Herons, White Egrets, Hawks and ducks occur on a regular basis.

Choose between a single kayak, a tandem kayak or a canoe (lifejackets, paddles and instruction included, Max group size of 30 people).

Kayak rentals can range from 2 hours to 4 hours.

Popular Routes: Take a two-hour paddle just inside Beaver Creek cove surrounded by scenic ranch lands. Viewings of birds such as Osprey, Blue Herons, White Egrets, Hawks and ducks occur on a regular basis with an occasional sighting of deer, goats and wild hogs. A great trip for folks of all skill levels.
Paddle to Garrett Island, a wildlife sanctuary for migratory birds, for a two to three-hour excursion. Take along a picnic to enjoy on one of the nice sandy beaches. Recommended for folks with some kayaking experience.
