Trace and Liz Catlin are the visionary owners of Trailblazer Grille, a beloved destination restaurant located in Burnet’s historic town square. Featuring Taste of Texas Fine Foods and Specialty Items and Candy Rush Emporium, Trailblazer Grille is not just your typical restaurant! The Catlins started their careers in Houston in the specialty food industry, launching a successful gourmet food consulting business that connected innovative products to markets across the country and globally. In 2012, what began as a weekend getaway to the Texas Hill Country because a life-changing calling. After a chance conversation with a local restaurant owner, Trace and Liz stepped into an unexpected opportunity. After a lot of prayer and a leap of faith, they sold their home and business in Houston and relocated to Burnet to purchase their first restaurant in 2013.

The Catlins transformed what was a small-town tearoom into what is now Trailblazer Grille, success they credit to their entrepreneurial spirits and faith-driven business approach. Trailblazer Grille was named through a community-wide effort, and the restaurant reflects the area’s historic roots and the Catlin’s role in helping revitalize Burnet’s town square. Under their leadership, Trailblazer Grille is a Hill Country favorite, known for its homemade comfort food, its welcoming atmosphere, live entertainment and commitment to the community. Trailblazer Grille has been featured in regional and national publications and recognized for excellence across multiple categories.
