The LBCC Fish Fry was a huge success last night, over 400 hundred attended, setting their highest attendance record to date! One hundred percent of the funds collected will go to the conservation of Lake Buchanan. In this picture, well wishers were waving to the camera to say hello to Mike and Traci Rannefeld who couldn't make it this year due to his cancer treatments, they were sorely missed! Llano River Eagles Update: Our beloved eagles nest on Hwy 29 between Buchanan Dam and Llano has fallen. TPWD has informed us the tree was bug ridden and rotting and finally fell over. It will be very interesting to see where they will build next! If you remember the same thing happened just a few years ago and they only moved a few trees over; I hope that will be the case again. They are due to return between September and October this year and typically begin working on the nest right away. I will update again here and on facebook (facebook.com Buchanan inks chamber ) as soon as I hear that they have returned.
