Llano River Bald Eagle Update

10/26/2014

****UPDATE****10/25/14 We went to the nest early again, before the sunrise and found the two bald eagles sitting close together on a tree branch. We went to try to see them working on the nest but they left the tree at first light and then still hadn't returned by 11:15 a.m. The camera is hard to focus in that light but here are some fuzzy pics taken while we were there. Photos are by Jim Baines Thank you Jim for donating so many beautiful pictures to our chamber to share all over the U.S. and helping us promote our beautiful Hill Country!

These 2013 pictures below capture how the eagles just fly right into a dead branch and break it off and carry it to the nest. (I had always pictured them just picking them up off the ground!) Photos by Jim Baines
