Llano River Eagle Update: I went to the nest Tursday evening just as the sun was setting. Just as before, the pair flew in just as it was almost dark, one of them carrying a stick. They put the stick right where the arrow was pointing on Je...ss Thopmpson's website, www.cottonwoodphotography.com. With no activity reported at all the last few weeks that was good news! I went again to the nest the next day, meeting Jim Baines there who was hoping to capture some great photos of the pair. Once again we stayed until sunset and the eagles never came. This is such a mystery, on one hand I feel like they must have another nest by now but on the other if they had one, they wouldn't sleep in the old tree would they? it definitely tells me there are no eggs yet.
